My boy will be 16 next Tuesday. This is such a joyous moment for myself & everyone that knows my Nooker Bean. You see the vets gave him one year to live.... 4 years ago. His zest for life overpowers all the medical issues he has. Everyone is amazed, friends, family, vets, myself, basically everyone that knows my boy never would of guessed that he would live this long, especially so with all of his health problems. He has brought so much joy to everyones life, he really has a special way with people. He remains to be so very happy day in & day out. I dread when the day comes when he makes his final journey... to the bridge. But until then we celebrate every day as if it were his last, with the exception of his birthday, that will be celebrated like no other.
We will celebrate his birthday with all things good on his birthday but because I work during the day we will give him a special outing the weekend after this weekend. He will spend a day at the park, just him & I and maybe Joe. We'll have a nice picnic, step in the water & just sit back & watch the world go by. Thats all of his favorite things. No other pups because he enjoys his own time now that he has slowed down.
Well I don't want to ruin the special thread I will make up for his birthday so until then this is all you get. lol
