It is Angelique. It is pronounced as Anne-juh-leek. People used to call me Angel all the time and it would irritate the crap out of me now I really don't care. My last name and my maiden name get messed up all the time. My middle name is pretty normal, Noel.
I think you have a pretty name.

about as simple as it gets. People mess it up when I say my whole name over the phone - my last name starts with "St.", (Pat St.) they think I'm saying "Patsy"

My name is Kari (care-ee). Usually people pronounce it right.
I do some times get car-ee.
When I was in school I on occasion was called Carl by substitute teachers because they thought the i at the end of my name was an l, they read "Karl" instead or "Kari".

    Mine isn't mis-pronounced very often . In English it's pronounced Mich-elle.

    In french it's more of a mee-shelle.

Mine is easy enough, Craig. Pronounced just like it is spelled. Whenever someome takes my name for a reservation or something I have to say "Craig, with a C, not Greg." People also spell it Kreg a lot and I have no clue where that comes from.

The one that use to drive me bonkers is my last name: Mayer pronounced May-or, not My-er. Now I just respond to either because it happens all the time. Even close friends still say Meyer. I blame Oscar Mayer Weiner for the entire mispronunciation. And yes, school was a blast; I know every version of the Oscar Meyer songs.

LOL! I just noticed you are Canadian - my grandparents were French-Canadian, the "St." is part of a French name (I'll pm it to you)
BTW, I love your name, it's beautiful!

Mine is said how it's spelled. Breanne, Bree-anne.
People constantly make it seem like a hard work. Bree-anna is mostly what they call me. It doesn't drive me crazy. But when I do correct them, and they still call me Bree-anna that kind of gets on my nerves. If they have such a problem saying it, I just tell them to call me Bre. Otherwise, through all of that pain, I love my name because it's not too common.
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!
