    Hmmm. it's close to 9 hours to get there from here. We have a wedding on Sept 2 in the evening, so we're thinking of maybe driving through the night (gotta get the Princess Logan), or 1st thing in the morning..super early. This is still an idea, not definite. Any suggestions from you "regulars" about where to stay with a pupster????

    That's about 9 hours TOO MUCH driving after an evening wedding!

    LOVE to see y'all - but either toss the wedding or plan on Findlay
    over Memorial Day, 2007!

    Where to Stay?
    Didn't you see the *link* Staci posted for you a few replies ago??

    We use the Super 8 Motel - far from "Ritzy" but cheap and almost clean.
    You have to argue for the cheap rate;
    and *ignore* the "Tell us if you have a Pet" sign on the desk ---
    they want an extra $5.00 for each one you admit to having!

    Definately will keep Sadie in my thoughts & prayers.Hope they are harmless
    fatty tissue & can be treated easily.

    I did need to ask a favor though. I need better instructions for getting to
    the dog park once I get into Findley.last time I spent 30-40 minutes trying
    to remember all the signs to watch for showing where the park site is.
    can someone help with that?

    Haven't I sent you detailed directions a couple times?

    Can you PRINT out an e-mail?

    PM (to Cinder & Smoke) your starting address AND your E-mail address.

    I'll send you the turn-by-turn directions.

    Exclamation MapQuest "directions" to the Findlay, Ohio, Dog Park

    Here's how to get your MapQuest "Directions" with Turn-by-Turn Instructions
    from your home to the Dawg Park ...

    Use the Click-Link (below) to get to the From and To page for MapQuest.
    **WAIT** till the page fully loads - or you'll goof up the pre-filled data!!

    When the page finishes loading - you'll have TWO big data blocks -
    the one on the LEFT asking for your STARTING Location;
    the one on the RIGHT >> Already FILLED IN < with the Dog Park Address.

    If you have it - do NOT use Microsoft's "AutoFill" - it will put your home address
    in BOTH blocks - erasing the pre-filled Dog Park Address!

    JUST fill in your Home or "Starting" address in the LEFT (STARTING Location) Blocks.

    Here's the *Link* to MapQuest >>>

    MapQuest Directions To: Findlay, OH ~ DOG PARK

    IF you want to use a GPS or another Mapping Service - here's the Dog Park Address:

    16000 Township Road 208 -OR-
    Township Road 207 AND Township Road 208
    Findlay, OH 45840

    The Dog Park is INside the Hancock Park District's "Riverbend Recreation Area";
    about a mile south of Ohio Route 568;
    and just north of the North-East Corner of the big Findlay Reservoir.
    The Reservoir is on most maps - and stands out because it is drawn as a
    Big SQUARE Blue Lake;
    south-east of downtown Findlay.

    If ANYONE has trouble with the Route to the Dog Park - PM "Cinder & Smoke"
    with your E-mail and Home/Starting Address.

    The Findlay Health Dept. has posted that the park has raised levels of (something-or-other bacteria) in the water, and suggests that dogs with depressed immune systems should not drink it . Chances are healthy dogs will be fine. Many of us are bringing water for our dogs until the sign goes down. I will keep you updated closer to picnic time.

    You have no idea how much I wish I could attend. Would I be welcome in 2007...probably the Labor Day one?? Problem is I don't have a dawg. Are there any that I could borrow and smooch for a day??
    Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    as the dawg park is outside - there's an OPEN invitation-

    Talking

    Phred, you already know the menu items that are ALWAYS filled by me so why put "hopefully". Your wish is my command.
