My brother died today.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know you must miss him very very very much.

I know how your niece is feeling, I'm 22 as well and my mom passed away last October and my dad passed away on July 15th due to injuries from a car accident he had on the 11th. I haven't said much about it here, it just hurts me so bad because loosing my dad has also opened the wound back up from loosing my momma. I miss them both so bad. My mom had cancer and she was only 64, my dad was only 65.

I just hope your niece is ok and I know everyone will be helping her, I'll be praying for her and the family. I'm so glad to hear that the house is cleaned for her, that's wonderful, my dad's church family were also so amazing and kind to me. It's great you have them there for you guys.

Dappledoxie, I am so sorry about your parents, my heart goes out to you. It was hard losing my parents at 40. Makes you feel kind of empty doesn't it? I can't imagine at your age. I know my niece is scared and I just keep telling her I will protect her and she won't be alone.

Thank you, yeah it does, I feel like a shell of who I was or something lately. Everything seems so different, with my mom, I lived with her and it was hard to come home with her not there. It's hitting me a lot more with my dad because everytime the phone rings I think it's him, or when I check the answering machine I feel like he'll be there.
