My fiance' was saying he wanted to get a shock collar for ours because he barks often but after time I have realized what he is barking for. He barks when he wants to eat drink or pee but he barks a bit more aggressively when he wants you to play with him. He doesn't bark too much at outside dogs, moreso he wants to play with them. Our problem is when company comes over he turns wild. I will have a great day with him but fear any company that may show. He isn't so bad with jumping and he is learning the "OFF" command but it's difficult because he really gets riled up-his doc says he sounds like an 8-day wound up clock. I will keep checking back for more ideas, I think I am going to also try the citronella (but with my asthma I can't tolerate strong scents) or "The Husher".
