Thanks for the replies everyone, they are so adorable, aren't they? Right now they are inhabiting my kitchen. I came in this morning and they were all huddled into one of the crates on the table.

They are flame points, not pure white --- the amount of pigment is good enough that they can hear. I don't think I've heard of a deaf pointed cat, but I'm sure it's possible.

Unfortunatly the momma has to go back. Because we've altered so many of them, and the forest fires are pushing the wild animals (bears, coyotes) down towards her, she is down to three adult cats (a huge improvement from 200+), so she doesn't want us to give away this one. We have to compromise if we want to keep contact and make sure the situation is still okay. We did find out that she is wanting more kittens though, and we have to search her place thoroughly when we go up there because we think she may be hiding some. The next trip up we are getting Softie, a cat that should NOT be having kittens as she has kidney problems and has to be on a special food her entire life. She almost died a couple of years ago.

The momma kitty is doing a bit better now. She doesn't shy away when I go to pick her up, it's like she doesn't care anymore. I put her back in the kitchen with the babies. I actually woke up early this morning and felt a little body next to mine, and it was the little manx boy. They don't like to be touched, but they aren't afraid of me.
