I never said that you "shouldn't" consume dairy. I eat yogurt, cheese, milk, soy milk - on a daily basis. But not all of that in one day. That would be overkill for me. I would be constipated beyond repair, LOL, if I had that much dairy in one day! 1000 mg is a lot of calcium for one day, as the article states.Originally Posted by jackie
It also states that it's difficult to get 1000 mg from food and may be necessary to take supplements - vitamines - which is how I get my recommended dosage of calcium. I would suggest that to everyone. Especially for people that won't consume dairy because they can't or don't like it.
