I get annoyed by mispronunciations, but, only for about a split second, it's not like an entire day is ruined when I hear someone mispronounce shih tzu for example. But, I have always pronounced PETA like pita bread. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it like pet-uh. And, I don't think I'd be annoyed by it, more surprised!
