I actually made it home last night, only fell asleep twice....
Gini thanks for doing this...I had a great time meeting everyone.

Since I'd never been to Gini's I turned onto her street and silly me started looking for street numbers....all I had to do was look in front of me, after all it's hard to miss a big red fire truck....

Stacy says hi to some of our 4 legged guests..

Richard our local bartender receiving pointers from Julie....

So is this the new olympic torch??

Sara "explaining" her point of view to Richard...

Everybody gets to wear the hat....

I am such a dill - I wanted to call and say hello at 4pm, and then double checked the timezone and I would have called at 4am (though it looks like the party might have still been going!) OOps . Thanks for the photos and glad you all had a great time.

Our plane was delayed by two hours.

We're home now, all kitties present and accounted for. Sid's tail is looking much better although he is still sad at being separated from the rest while he heals.

Believe it or not, we escaped the heat wave by going to LA. Its still 79 degrees outside and its after midnight. Fortunately, we don't have to go to work tomorrow so we have one day to recuperate.

These are not the droids you were looking for

I made it home. too. No plane delays or excessive layovers. Nearly missed my flight at LAX though. Richard was in the bathroom so long, we left Gini's late. What WAS he doing in there?

It was great to meet some new Pet Talkers, but we missed those that couldn't make it.

Gini is really special for putting this on every year. It's a lot of work and expense. I'm glad I could lend a hand, but wish I could have done more.

    Thanks, Gini

Was he shaving his legs? Admiring his new haircut?

Maybe that's why the bathtub blocked up last year!

    Great pics everyone - thanks!

Sara and Richard - I'm SO sorry I missed your return calls! After I....errr....Detective Francis of the LAPD called you, I set the phone right on the table so we wouldn't miss your return call. The phone never rang so I thought perhaps Sara left her phone at home or something. Sunday morning I saw there were two missed calls and two voice messages. I couldn't believe it when I listened and it was you two, shortly after I had called you no less! After much throwing the phone around trying to figure out why it hadn't rung, we discovered it was on "silent" mode. I have NO idea how it got there because I don't even know how to put it in silent mode, and between Terry and myself it took a good 20 minutes of going through menus to discover how to get it off of silent mode. Evidently "silent" doesn't include "vibrate" either, or that would have attracted out attention. The only thing I can figure is for some reason the universe conspired against us to prevent us from talking. Sounded like you guys were having a great time though, and I'm sorry I missed the call and the fun. Next year we're just going to have to arrange our travels so we're not far away from LA in July.

Debbie, I think perhaps Terry's mother ship might have been blocking the signal.

Never thought of that, Karen! I would put money on the fact that's what happened.

Once again, thanks to the hostess with the mostess Gini for opening her heart and home to the PT family. These weekends always go by so fast! I believe there are a few lucky people left extending their fun at the House of Orange.
We made it home ok, and it's still hot!

    **hugs**

Well this year my flight here was about 4 1/2 hours - non stop. No bugs this time. But I leave tomorrow nite so we'll see about on the way home.

I had this great post last nite but it wouldn't "take".
I'll repeat the first part of it tho b/c it was too cute.

T'was 8:00pm the nite after the PetTalk BBQ and not a creature was stirring except a New Mexican and Ohioan.
Gini and Kelly were taking naps and that left Tonya and I to amuse ourselves.
Soon after 830 tho Gini got up and Kelly woke up and we went out to a fabulous dinner at Maggiano's.
    Today is shopping

It is a sad day - in less than 25 minutes we will be leaving for the airport to drop off Tonya.

Staci, Kelly and Tonya have been staying here - and it has been so much fun having my "girls" with me.

Rascal won't leave them alone!! Annie got into the act and Staci said that she was able to touch Emma's tail.........WOW!

But I don't WANT it to be over!!!

Its almost time for the worst part of the BBQ...the ending.

We still have many more hours with Stace, Gini and I (Kelly)...they're "resting their eyes" and I believe Tonya will be taking off in about 15 minutes...I'm just catching up here.

Its been SO GREAT having everyone out here and spending time together. While we missed those that aren't able to be here, you're all here in spirit. It was great talking to those that called us on the phone!!

Hmm..usually its ME sleeping late or napping...ha ha.

After mom and Stace awake, we're going to Shutters, a gorgeous restaurant in Venice/Santa Monica, so Stace can see/touch the ocean...she hasn't seen that yet.

OK, off to check on the orangies and the porch kitties! They're sooo cute! Rascal has been the PUURRRRFECT host! He's such a love and just jumps right up on your lap when he feels he needs to...so cute!

    Hugs, Kelly
