And how much I wish that all that were here last year and the years prior could be here.

It just won't be the same.

But it is a long way to travel just to wash your pants!!

Gini, the other night I had a dream that I surprised you by showing up on your doorstep on Saturday morning. All you had to say was "Well, you can stay for the day but I'm afraid there is no room at the Inn!" I woke up and giggled.

You have just been such a big part of the whole CA BBQ
Debbie, I beg to differ. If it wasn't for Gini this "whole CA BBQ" would just be a fantasy.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Slick, you won't believe this - but I actually thought about you just showing up here at the house as a wonderful surprise!!! How I wish it was true!

Hey - lets cheer up everyone - we're starting to sound like a dirge here. OK - so its smaller. OK - so some really cool and wonderful people won't be there and they will be missed and it will feel different. OK - so we don't have quite the frantic celebrating mood that permeated the 2005 thread -

we can still have fun I won't see as many people - but I guess it means that I'll be able to spend more time with more individuals - that's a good thing.

How fun! I remember how excited I was to meet people for the first time last year - also, believe or not, I think that your backyard is going to be cooler than mine this weekend - it's going to be getting close to 100F here in Portland.

    Smile

I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but...the 1st BBQ was the smallest and was so fun! Each PT Meeting can be large or small, have the same attendees or have new ones...they're always fun and full of our PT pals. It shouldn't matter who isn't coming...you'll get to see new people or old friends! While we miss those that are unable to attend, we have our memories from the past and can make new ones in just a few days!! Yay!!

Oh...I think I've been neglecting my Kelly Kountdown!!!

    Ready??

KELLY KOUNTDOWN: 4 DAYS TILL THE BBQ!!! FOUR days, that's sooooo great!!! (And really almost 3, its already 7:30 p over on this side!!) WOOHOO!!!

I hope everyone travels very safely and gets here in one piece. Cant wait to give you ALL hugs!!

Uppydate on Karen/Aaron (Wolflady & Scooters Dad)...they WILL be attending after all. I'm staying in a hotel room with them on Saturday night. I'll be spending a few hours with Karen/Aaron before the BBQ as we've only seen each other ONCE this year! It'll be nice. Anyway, we'll be there Saturday, they'll be in town till Sunday, and I don't have to work until Wednesday!! (I have to work Friday though, short staffing at work and I have NO vacation time as I've been ill again.)

But...it'll be worth it to be able to see my PT Family after that!

    Can't wait!!!

I'm getting excited for you all just reading this!

I'm looking forward to seeing many, many pictures of all the fun you all are having. And saving my pennies so I'll be able to attend next year!

    Have fun everyone!

    **ahem**
Please don't forget to sign my apron, everyone. Hopefully it will arrive there today.

So I can just see them now. Mary and Gini are sitting outside on the patio in their jammies with coffees in hand and making out the agenda for the day. Damn, I wish I could be there.

Actually, Mary and Gini are "inside" having morning coffee and talking about all of the kitties that have owned us.

Rascal just adores Mary - she has that special soft touch - and Annie not wanting to be left out - has shown up too. Emma - well..........she is under the bed.........her usual safe spot.

We are talking about getting the day underway...........

Staci arrives tonight - I will be tracking her flight (thanks to Phred).

Yes, Slick, I do have a picture of Mary at the airport - just as you asked.

Your package arrived a few days ago.........and I won't forget the apron
    signing, I promise!
