I'm not going to be at home so I can't even phone in, but have a wonderful, wonderful time everybody!!

Me neither, as we are leaving for France tomorrow. If the weather stays nice, we might be away for a whole week!

Slick, I'm really going to miss the fact that you won't be there this year, even though I won't be either. You have just been such a big part of the whole CA BBQ thing that I can't imagine one without you.

I, too, will be watching for uppydates and pictures.

Hey - lets cheer up everyone - we're starting to sound like a dirge here. OK - so its smaller. OK - so some really cool and wonderful people won't be there and they will be missed and it will feel different. OK - so we don't have quite the frantic celebrating mood that permeated the 2005 thread -

we can still have fun I won't see as many people - but I guess it means that I'll be able to spend more time with more individuals - that's a good thing.

How fun! I remember how excited I was to meet people for the first time last year - also, believe or not, I think that your backyard is going to be cooler than mine this weekend - it's going to be getting close to 100F here in Portland.

Actually, Mary and Gini are "inside" having morning coffee and talking about all of the kitties that have owned us.

Rascal just adores Mary - she has that special soft touch - and Annie not wanting to be left out - has shown up too. Emma - well..........she is under the bed.........her usual safe spot.

We are talking about getting the day underway...........

Staci arrives tonight - I will be tracking her flight (thanks to Phred).
