I love this quote from ,"boxers for dummies" " When they created boxers little did they know beside a loyal gaurdian, but a clown as well."

Roxy's a Boxer mix, and it shows alot through her personality. She's a bouncy, goofy girl.

I adore boxers so much, despite our old neighbor's boxer that was rather aggressive (chased my sister and I on numerous occasions), though don't worry, I don't blame it on the breed!I've met plenty of other boxers that are so happy with very nice tempers.
How much do you think Boxers shed? I think mine shed quite a bit, but thats only if they don't get brushed. If they get brushed, they shed barely anything.
Boxers are really sweet dogs, and I'm glad that with their popularity, they haven't been exploited for aggression as much as other similar breeds have.
However, I still have issues with all of the bad Boxer breeders. =/ The first 2 Boxers I knew really well were my sister's ex-boyfriend's dogs, Rusty & Izzy. They were both from awesome breeders, very correct conformationally & about the same height as Gonzo, they could actually BREATHE and didn't have an extreme bully face, they had very stable temperaments and were super attentive, and ran alongside the parents' bikes & did Agility so they were in awesome shape through out their lives. They were the sweetest pups and I wish I could see them more (I haven't seen either for 1 year), they really made me admire the breed. As did one of my Obedience instructors Boxer, Marble. She was super smart and friendly, and again very healthy & sound. I see waaaay too many Boxers these days that look more like Mastiffs in height & size; either that, or they are standard height but they're wider than they are tall! I really love seeing active Boxers, because that is their purpose, and I do kind of cringe every time I see a Boxer that could easily be mistaken for a slightly tall Bulldog. My best friends ex-boyfriends family (again with the ex's) bred their horribly unsound Boxers, and produced a huge litter of massive Boxers with faces as flat as a Pug, and all of their dogs were pretty much brainless, which is not right. I don't like that they're being turned into a lazy man's dog, because they aren't!
