No, just try to keep it less chat-like, meaning I guess, make sure what you post is interesting to more than one person. If you just want to say a small thing to one person, email or PM that person. I'm posting this here so everyone will see my answer, but often for a simple questions I will PM folks.

My dad's parents came over from Norway - I was glad to hear about the difficulty with Swedish geneaology; does that apply to Scandinavians in general? My mom was raised in Alberta by her All-American mom and veddy British Dad. That was back in the early 1900's, and I found some pics of Grandpa on a web page for Alberta and Western Canada. He ranch-handed and managed, according to what I was told. I am going to research more online soon, as I have a family Bilbe that has a birth record going back in England to the 1600's. Should be fun!

Maybe a year ago at PT there was a thread that contained lots of "chat room" type talk. Those people left and created their own site called Beyond Pet Talk. Maybe you guys should think about doing that too.
