I am very interested in the process too. If you need help getting the photos posted on imagestation, let me know.

I have a zip-lock bag with a couple (mostly from Halo). I'll keep saving them up. There won't be many, but every bit helps.

I've just checked and most of mine are white so I hope they will do. There are too many to count. Can you please PM me your address and I'll get them out next week.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Bunny are these the horse hair cats?

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

you know, in the world of stones with healing purposes and good luck charms (healing stones and medicine bags, good luck charms and purifying herbs is what my mom deals with in her business), cat whiskers are reportedly very good luck and very good calmer-downers...when they're not on the cat of course, so please don't rip them off...just thought you guys should know that

ps...how goes the project, so far, anyways?

I only have one at the moment.....I'd never thought to save them until you asked but I will start looking for them now.

A while ago, my kitty, Neko, jumped up in my lap, shook her head and dropped a whisker and then jumped away to go play some more. Guess she knew it was going to fall out and just wanted to share that moment with me!

By the way, how many whiskers (or hairs) does one use in a project like this? Do you use them individually, or do you need an entire group to make one marking?

I have whiskers from each cat in a medicine bag, but I only need one from each. I'll save some up for you! (With fosters, I can accumulate a LOT of whiskers! )

I'm not quite sure sorry. I do know that when I did this with horse hair I used about a handful of hair, and spread it out over the pot.

Since whiskers are a lot smaller than a strand of hair, I'm going to predict that I will need quite a bit more.

This is my first attempt at doing this with whiskers, so it is a learning process for me as well.

YES!! Thank you Lisa for helping me out (once again!) Yes, the cats in the picture are made with horse hair. Kitty whiskers will look different, because they are not as long as a horse's hair.

How many will it take? Good question, since I have never done a "kitty-whisker" pot. We just might be starting a new trend here!

Since the techinque "singes" the hair on to the pot, the color of the whisker does not matter (it didn't matter what color the horse's hair was either).

I am PM-ing you now. Thank you!!

Thank you Slick!! Received your whiskers yesterday, and have added them to my collection!

    MUCH appreciated!

I'm SO happy that you guys are helping me out with this project! If I had to rely on my 3, this project would take forever

I don't know how you guys do it.....I'm lucky if I find 1 whisker every once in a while, and I am looking hard for them!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you..................

I truly don't think that I have ever found a whisker! Really!!!! And I've had two cats for a long time up until recently.

    Good luck with your project!
