Wow. That's a lot to say! Thank you! I'm embarrassed, now, it was just my intention to share my thoughts on it, not hijack the whole thread. But, if it helped keep the thread not so ugly, then I'm glad I did it. Hope it lasts!

Oh, and btw, I don't recommend shots for your dad. Usually shots are given every day and the shots contain what you are allergic to. It makes your allergies worse for about a year, the point of doing it is, it will make your allergies go away forever. Although, only people with horrible allergies choose to go with shots. But medication usually works!

No matter whether or not she has any say about what her parents do, I'm still sticking by my opinion that they shouldn't get a new dog when they can't keep one for such a reason.

I haven't seen anyone say that getting another dog would be a good idea. Most are specifically saying that she shouldn't. I think everyone shares this opinion.
