    I was getting ice cream out of the freezer for a root beer float and found this cake hiding in there.

    I don't think "Talk Like a Pirate Day" is until September but what the hey Just a few minutes ago spoke with Slick and had to hang up before she and I started laughing too hard for her health Leaving at 4 am tomorrow to drive to the coast to find a room for the night and meet up with Johanna, her sister and Jonah for Sunday brunch/lunch. What fun! Right before Slick called I had just hung up with Joh. This is soooo great! It's almost 9 pm for me right now so have to go but dang you guys!! Party on!! Will try to find an internet connection somewhere to check in over the weekend, but if some hot surfer dudes distract us I'm sure you will understand

    Laurie, have a great time in Cape May. It has to be one of the most wonderful spots in the world and that ferry ride is to die for!!!

    Slick, we miss you here at the bar - we could manage some more ice water for you if you are up for it. But I am hoping you are still resting and getting better by the minute.

    I just pulled a cake from the oven for a family reunion tomorrow -
    not sure how good it will be tho - might go in the garbage at the end of the day -
    It's a cinnamon swirl cake but I had no icing so I just dumped a bag of white chocolate chips on it and let them melt and spread them around.
    we'll see -
    hmmmm
    how about another Mojito?
