THAT idea sounds a bit scarey!
I'll light the fire ...

Maybe with enough of us "singing" no one will notce how bad we may sound.

Hi folks....this won't be for long. I can only stay up for about 10 min, then my body tells me to go back to bed. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. 102.6 temperature, can't eat, supposed to take these gigantic horse pills but can't have them on an empty stomach. Tried that this morning and lost it. So if I can't keep anything down how am I supposed to take this antibiotics? Oh yes, and did I mention these pills are $7 each????

Richard, I thought about you all day yesterday as I was stuck in the ER from 2:30 to midnight. After the 7pm change of shift, there was only 1 doctor and 5 nurses to handle 15 treatment rooms. I do so admire all of them. They have to put up with a load of SH** and I kept wondering how they could practice so much patience. The good thing about our health care system, is that all the treatment I got yesterday didn't cost me a thing. The down side, is that our blessed government puts health care workers behind everyone else.

Anyway they pumped me with two bags of IV fluids and 1 bag of antibiotics.
Long story short, if I still can't keep anything down tomorrow, I'm heading back to the ER (this time to a major hospital only 5 min. from home) I may have to be admitted until I can eat.

So, I'll just grab a glass of ice water and head back to bed. Cheers everyone.

Gosh, slick I'm glad you checked in but sure wish you felt better. Lots of prayers on the way sweetie. All the cats have their paws crossed that you feel lots better after a night of rest. (we HOPE you are resting anyway)

Slick, I will be saying some prayers for you that the antibiotics you received through an IV will kick in - and help you feel better.

My goodness, Slick! I had no idea you even had a cold! Gosh, I sure hope the fluids and antibiotics do their thing. I hate the thought of you stuck in a hospital bed.

Sure hope you get better real quick!

Gosh, I'll just grab a coke while I'm in the fridge getting ice for Slick's water. Then I'll grab a good book and sit by the bed and read to her for awhile. Hmmm...anybody know what kind of stories Slick likes?

Slick hope your feeling a bit better today . Gosh at $7 a pill you had better keep it down. will be thinking of you all day ,I must be ill to I volenteered to come in to work . well got a truck coming in on Monday so need to bust freight out on to the sale floor. After being off for a week I guess I'm feeling guilty.

Ps I'm still waiting 4days for the dsl guy. having on and off problems getting tired of them ,but less irratating than waiting for the srvice guy. GRRRRRRR
