He's so gorgeous! I read about ligers, apparently the gene which limits growth is present only in male tigers and female lions. Hence a tigon grows to a normal size, but ligers keep growing all their lives. And as we can see he is already one big kitty! How on earth could you make a cat-flap that big?

Truely gorgeous animals. I got to see one at a wildlife refuge in Eureka Springs (here in Arkansas) a few years ago.
HERE is a link to his page on the refuge website. The whole refuge is a wonderful place to visit... they actually make you feel very welcome, and talk to you as if they've known you for some time.
