There are some beautiful feral cats at the golf course that I'd like to help but don't know what to do. Some look like full blooded Siamese and the other are mixed. Is someone trapping and fixing them? That is the first thing that needs to be done. Depending on the age and how much time and patience someone has, they can be tamed. The earlier these cats are caught the more likely they will become tameable and could be placed in homes. The priority would be to trap and fix so no more kittens are born into this type of life. If you need any advice on how to do this, please let me know. We've been TNRing going on 9 years now. It may not be the most desireable solution to some, but at least there aren't more cats being born feral.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
