Madison is absolutly beautiful! Lucas is such a cutie, and Kay looks so sweet, too!
That poor pup... how could anyone do that to such an innocent dog??

I 100% agree with you, I want a greyhound SO bad. Everyone I've met thinks they would be hyper and crazy, but every greyhound that I have met is SO laid back and calm. I want a greyhound SO badly, my sister in-law even offered to take me to the adoption place to pick one out. I WISH!

Thank you everybody for the comments!

Augh, I hate that myth because it's SO untrue. Greyhounds are only hyperactive as puppies (like any other breed), but their energy usually peaks at 2-3 years. After that, they morph into couch potatoes. Giselle used to prance around and gallop like a fool when I first got her, but, after a year, she can't even bear to chase the dogs at the dog park anymore.

*When* you get your Grey, you've got to share photos and stories. These dogs are just hilarious to live with

Wow, Giselle sounds exactly like Maddy. When I first met Madison a few years ago, she was 2 and ALWAYS pranced around, and licked people a lot. Now, she just lounges around all day.

I hope to get a greyhound soon, but I think I'm gonna wait till we move (to arizona in a year or two) because I think the Minnesota weather would be a little harsh on it.

Aww, well Greys are quite tolerable of the cold. One adopter's rule of thumb was that if her Grey's ears were cold, then she'd put a coat on her dog If the weather drops below 40F, I'll put a light coat I bought for her, but I know plenty of Greys who live in Canada and MN

Hey, when you guys move to AZ, you'll have to pay a visit to the racetrack. Gissie raced at the Tuscon and Pheonix tracks, heh. There's a bunch of adoption groups down there, so you'll have no problem finding the perfect Grey.

There is actually a race track in the town we are moving by, Kingman, AZ. I dont know if it is still up and running though, it looked kind of like it wasn't. Gosh, all this talk has gotten me even MORE excited.

I agree. Greyhounds are probably among the most calmest dogs I have ever met. Madison is so beautiful! I love her coloring.
