Back at the farm. I took Jethro (fjord) for a ride, and Judy rode April. Jethro spooked on me and scared me to death (I'm still recovering from a really bad fall and had given up on riding all together) But I walked him around a little after.

Yes, I was riding english in a western saddle

Judy took jethro back down the trail so he wouldn't be frightened of the path. She's brave lol. She rode April (17hh Belgian) bareback.....I wanted to get on her back but never got a chance too.

    Kittens are coming outside now!

This was amazing. This chicken is a wyandot I think...and she is the only one of her breed on the farm. She started brooding 3 weeks ago and we didn't think they would hatch, however, they did! She must have mated with one of the silkies.

Wow, those are great pictures.I am glad you got to have that wonderful
experience of life on the farm. I could have loved to just watched the
kittens playing all day long. I don't know how much work would get done
because I'd just want to spend my time playing & watching all the critters.

Great pics!!! It is amazing that one month has passed already, AND that you are sad to be back. I seem to remember someone being anxious about going.

What does it mean, that you were riding western in an english saddle?

I know. Well, I'm happy to be back cause I miss my pets so much, but I will miss the farm. I enjoyed it, and learned a lot. Silly I was so anxious about it.

I was in a western saddle, but I had an english bridle. English and western are 2 totally different ridding styles. Like for example, you would "post" in english, but not western. I've always ridden english, but she only had a western saddle.
