I have been trying so hard to reply to all of you. I cannot thank you all enough for all of the kind words, prayers and well, just being there for me. It means the world to me. My hubby has also been following this thread.
We are just taking it one day at a time. We got Mandys ashes back yesterday. I thought I would be upset but I was so happy to have a part of her with me. We never had a dog cremated before and are at peace with the decision.
Lacey is missing Mandy. That is so hard, how can you explain to her what happened to Mandy? All she knows is we rushed her off late one evening and came back in the middle of the night without her.![]()
Mandy put up a brave fight. After she was PTS, I was telling the Emg. vet (who was the sweetest ever) that I should have just put her down when I first knew she had this. She said "no, you did the right thing, trying to save her, you never could have lived with yourself if you didn't"
Thank you all again. {hugs} Annette
