    Glacier has 23 *huskies*

Alaskan Huskies (the polite name for sledding mutts ), Siberian Huskies, Malamute(s?), and Daisy.

    Metal4Christ,
Do you have any pictures of your Mals? Where are they from? I always love hearing from other Mal owners.

    I have one, Rien, who's almost 3 (July 14th). He's basically a bear.
This is my most recent picture of him (May 06):

Yup, 23....plus shared custody of Daisy, who knows what she is!

Mostly Alaskan Huskies--mutts!, 3 purebred Siberian Huskies, 1 purebred Malamute, one malamutt(Goldie) and one mal-wolf mix(Kayleigh).

This is my malamute boy, Heyoka. He'd be classed as a giant malamute, if the giant size was actually recognized. He weighs just under 130 and stands just under six feet when he's on his back legs.

My friend has 2 Mal's, 1 wolfdogs and 2 wolves.
The 2 wolves are only 8 weeks old, one is a pure Artic Wolf and the other is a Pure Grey Wolf.
The wolfdog she has is Phoenix, he is aprox 85% wolf, he is the biggest baby you'd ever meet!!
Here he and I are a few winters ago:

Here he is getting belly rubs from my hubby

I haven't even met the newbies yet, I get to meet them on Tuesday.
I'm not all the crazy about people owning wild animals, they belong in the wild and my opinion will never change about that, but also on the other hand I get goose bumps everytime I play with Phoenix because I love wolves so much and I get to play with them and pet them!!!
This is her RB wolfdog Harley, she had to be put to sleep just a few months ago she had bone cancer.

Here are her Mal boys, Loki and Chinook:
    Here they are as babies:

As once the tables turned and they got "a little" bigger than Sierra!

Here's Loki, Sierra and Quill the kittie

And Chinook being picked on by Sierra and Satchel the GSD puppy

Don't worry about it, it's a common mistake. I hope I didn't come off sounding too arrogant or anything

We own a few and foster others. Here are (hopefully) some pics of our own guys.
We have Tikaani, who is mixed with a white shepherd. Teekon, who is mixed with Malamute. Tok was mixed with Alaskan Husky. Taku is a mystery, possibly mixed with a mal or a shep, quite possibly pure arctic.

    Jen and pack

For Tok, I will always remember the happier days when you howled and played as one of our pack. You will never be forgotten, and you can never be replaced. God has a special place for special creatures, and that is where we will meet again. Forever in our hearts, love always, your family.

i don't own any mals, but i have two wolves that are currently on a long vacation in the mountains of WV with a dear friend of mine. theyre wild as can be, and i would never let anyone unfarmiliar to them into their "yard", but they are gentle towards me. they are definitely pure wolf, and behave accordingly. i wouldnt have them any other way! the point is not to make a big baby out of a wolf.. to completely domesticate them would be a crime. they are wild, and should remain as much so as possible. i rescued the wolves i have- they were unable to hunt. if it werent for those who would shoot a wolf on sighting, i would try to introduce them back into the wild. as it is, they are too farmiliar with people and have no inhibitions about being near them. they wouldnt know any better than to wreak havoc on some poor rancher's cow pastures...

my aunt owns a pure mal, and shes absolutely gorgeous! however, she has a rather bad attitude towards other animals (they all seem to look like food to her), and her brother even killed a sheep on a farm nearby his home. thankfully, shes great with people and even doesnt seem to mind screaming toddlers. shes a wonderful pet!
