Yahoo!! I'm getting betta barracks!

I'm getting betta barracks in a few weeks!

Betta barracks are basically a huge shelving unit with tons of little containers. All the containers are provided with heated, filtered water. That means that it'll cut down on water changes from 20+ to 1 big water change, I could get 96 more bettas, and each betta will constantly be provided with clean, heated water! The only cons are that well, it's rather expensive and if one fish gets sick, they all will be at risk. Also, the containers are beanie baby containers so they are rather small.. but it'll only serve as temporary housing for juvies anyways.

I'm SO excited!

Nope. It would easily cost over $1000 to build myself.. i'm getting it for 350

Over 1000 to do it yourself? Ar eyou sure? The materials all look like stuff you can get from a hardware store for pretty inexpensive. Maybe its just the pump that costs a lot of money??

In any case if it would cost that much to build it yourself, getting one for 350 is a STEAL!

Most betta breeders I've talked to said theirs cost over $1000 to make. The pictures don't show all the equipment though. The beanie cases alone are pretty expensive. :\

Wow, that will make it soo much easier to maintain more bettas! Changing the water in my tanks for just my 9 bettas are a pain in the... kneck.

hahaha you'd think so! But we actually do alright for food. I feed lots of live foods so it doesn't cost me anything at all!
