To lose a child is very, very painful - I will be praying for his family and you as well. Losing a friend is not easy either especially one as special as Jason sounds.

Laura, he sounds like a very special man. I know he was proud to call you his friend. How heartwarming that the nurse enabled having David with him that last night.
You will all be in my prayers.

Laura, what a sad time for you and his family. I lost two immediate family members within 6 months of each other so I know a little what they are going through. Life can be harsh sometimes but the good times and memories do help a little.
It was nice that the nurse allowed David to spend time with Jason.
Don't be afraid that your life will end. Be afraid that it will never begin.
