Hey when & where have we decided on a meeting??
No worries! No one's really said too much about a Texas one. I posted what my schedule kinda looked like, and, that was it. Looks like the Louisiana one might be closer to being a reality at this point. But, what does your schedule look like for a DFW meeting?

    Do We Have Enough Texans??

Well LA is a bit far for me unless we car pool from the DFW area.. If we can get the DFW area would be better & my schedule is good due to I have three day weekends off due to we work 4 on & 3 off.. So just let me know whats up & we will go from there..

Oh, we can totally do a DFW meeting! I'm up for that! And, I'm cool with it just being me and you if no one else can come or speaks up! What park would you like to meet at? Do you have a place in mind or an area of DFW that you prefer? Maybe if you and I can get a place chosen, I can pm some of the girls that have shown an interest in this idea. And, we can do the Louisiana thing on the Louisiana thread! Heck, I'd come see you next weekend if you wanted to meet then! Woo hoo, we're getting it together!

Well, I just need to know what is good for everybody else because at this point anything is good is for me. But as hubby *does* work and drive, I wouldn't be able to make it if it isn't good for him probably. The only days I absolutely can't come would be July 14-26.

Well, there are definitely dog parks we could meet at. I think I listed three that I know of already...one in Plano (really close to me), one in Fort Worth (the farthest from me, but, I can still do that one), and, one in Dallas. If we could go on a Friday or Monday morning (whichever day is included in your three day weekend), it would be a lot less crowded! The Dallas one is the smallest. I think the Fort Worth one is the largest.

There is also a free, open range, unfenced (but, a couple hundred acres, from what i understand) park that people take their dogs to all the time. We have taken our three there a couple of times, and, they love it. Lots of trails, creeks they can cool off in, etc. David has been going there for awhile and has never had any problems, and, we didn't the two times we've been. It's a nice place to go walking, very relaxing. It is also in Plano.

I just sent a private message to each of the people who have shown an interest in attending a DFW meeting. So, hopefully, we can get something together!

Another good thing about coming to Plano, we have a boat if the folks at the meeting want to go out on the lake for a couple hours in the morning. There are places we can boat out to where the dogs can play in the water and on the land, completely off leash. So, if we're really on for Sunday (still waiting to hear from a couple people ), we can possibly even grill some burgers or hot dogs or something at the house (David has said he'd man the grill for us!). We have a fenced in backyard (not huge, but, not tiny, either). And, the park and the open range area are within minutes. I think I said that already, sorry. Can't wait to hear if you guys can come Sunday!

Plano is a bit far for me. I don't even drive to Dallas by myself unless I absolutely HAVE to. Like to pick up my mom from airport.

Let me know when you have one closer to Arlington
