Yes, it sad about the wee ones, but like Gary said, it would be so worng for people not to trust Petsmart and the rescue groups that are allowed to adopt their animals there!!!

This happened a while ago at a PetSmart here in Tucson. It didn't seem to hurt their adoption rates once they were able to start having adoptions again. They stopped having adoptions there for about a month, the store had flyers informing customers of the incident and gave numbers to call in case they had come in contact with the dog or were worried that a pet they had brought in had come in contact with the dog.

I am glad the news story mentioned the millions of adoptions and that this had only happened one other time.

This might spur some undecided adopters to adopt...
