    Foxy Jean's Eyes

    Yes.

Foxy Jean did stare at me, expecially when I woke up in the morning. She would gently use her front paw to wake me up, I knew she had her face real close to me then. If I did not open my eyes, she would lay back down, but heaven forbid if I did open my eyes!! ha ha ha!!! Dig, Dig, Dig, lick, lick, lick!!!!

She talked to me with her own sounds. There was no way to avoid giving into her demands. She was with me all the time and, now I look for her in every room . I would look at her and ask her, "What do you want"? then she would do a bark instead of that low "woof" Oh my Lord, that dog had such a beautiful personality.

She so behaved like Toto, you know, that terrier on The Wizard of Oz.

Thanks-To all of you --I can begin to say her name outloud again.

Thanks to all of you, I can face tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow.

Foxy Jean was a gorgeous girl!!!!! What adoring love you can see in her eyes! Remember all the good times you had with her and smile, through your tears. Is there some thing that Foxy Jean used to do that was cute or funny that you can share with us? Hugs.

    Foxy Jean could sing.

I tried to learn how to play a harmonica when my two dogs were with me.

I did learn how to play one song, amid their howling.

From time to time, I would get the harmonica out and faintly play a single note. Foxy Jean would tip her head back, ever so slightly, and woo me with a very high pitched , soothing howl.

She knew where the treats and dog chewies were kept. (inthe the cupboard under the sink) When I was not giving her the attention she wanted, she would insist that I give her something by trotting up to the cupboard and slamming her front legs against it. I wasn't surprised when she learned how to open it by herself and get things on her own.

She also reacted to the sound of a barking dog on the television, as well as sirens, babies laughing or crying, or adults crying. My husband had to say, It's aT.V. dog before she would stop barking. She often put her front feet on the television screen in reaction to a children's program, cocking her head.

Thank-You for encouraging me to relive these pleasent memories again. I am still in shock , and it has been 6 months since she left us.

Pet of the Day is such a boost for me at the beginning of each day.

Much grief work ahead I am sure, yet, I'll get by with a little help from my friends at Pet Talk.

Foxy Jean sounds like she was such fun!! They really know how to make us laugh. My Killian used to howl when the sirens on Cops was on. Shiloh used to "try" to howl. She was hilarious. It was part howl, part bark, part yelp! (Boy, do I miss that.)

    I feel your sorrow

Hi, i am Coles mom. thank you for your posts. i am sorry for your loss. i feel it as well. Cole used to howl if I did not answer the phone fast enough. your harmonica story made me think of that, cole would start howling ,then the other 3 furbabies would join in. Foxy Jean was very lucky to have had you in her life.

Thank-you for that gentle HUG!!!! Bless you for teaching me that Foxy Jean was lucky to have me as well.

I will light a candle , again , this Monday Night, thinking of Foxy Jean, of Cole too!!!! and for all the Pet Talk dogs that have gone to Rainbow Bridge. Thank-You for posting that picture of Cole for me. It helps me heal, to know that Cole howled if you did not answer the phone in time. It helps me laugh again I suppose.

Pet Talk is a wonderful therapy. It is free for the taking. But we all know that nothing in life is actually FREE. Now we know the penalty for falling head over heals in love with a wonderful DOG. Our heart breaks , we stumble through the mess left behind, we see their belongings , their dishes, and we remember those last days .

I will help you remember Cole in the way you need to. You have helped me remember my Foxy Jean in the way I need too as well.

    Thank-You for caring !!!!!
