This is the lake behind my house.


The governement classifies it as a dead lake as it doesn't support fish.
Clearly they've never looked any closer.
It's brimming with life.
I saw dozens of water fowl yesterday, mostly in what appeared to be mated pairs, and
there are four active beaver lodges on the lake now.

So, does this Dead Lake have a NAME??

All good lakes need a NAME ...
IF it doesn't have one - YOU and Stuart should create a Name ...
one befitting the Beauty and Splendor of the Lake.

Lake Tamara would certainly do!
Or I have a good local friend with your same name - she goes by Tami -

Ah, it already has a name. Mary Lake, although I have no idea how it got that name!

I have a friend who goes by Tami too--same spelling and everything! My Mom would never let me answer anyone who shortened my name. I don't even recognize that any variation of Tammy could be me! You could call me that all day and I won't connect that you are talking to me! My sister's name is Patricia and she's the same way--Pat, Trish, ect don't connect for her as her name at all!

My Mom would never let me answer anyone who shortened my name.
I don't even recognize that any variation of Tammy could be me!

I'd known her as Tami for several years when I *conned* her into being
a Volunteer Fire Department Radio Dispatcher and had to fill out "paperwork".

I filled in "Tami" and she corrected me: "It's Tamara".
I told her she didn't "act" like a Tamara - that Tami "fit better"!
