tattoos?

I dont have one yet, but I am getting Happy and Misty tatooed on my back, I would like to design a tatoo so that I can add dogs, like have Happy and Mistys faces now, but I would like to be able to add the faces of futire dogs as well

my dad got me into tatooes, he has like 10 at least lol

on one arm he has the family crest and and celtic cross, on the other arm he has a flaming dove, and an muscled arm breaking a chain, on his chest he has marvin the martian, and a heart looking at a hole in itself, on his legs he has a compase(the big colourful one in the pic), a silloette of a man running against a maple leaf, and the logo for the death race. on his back he has a a scripture verse about running tattooed in an arch. he might have more now for all I know lol my dad is an "old guy" by the way, that pic is from his 50th birthday lol

I have a dragon and plan on getting alot more tattoos - when I can afford it. My tattoo took just over an hour and costed me over $100! I REALLY want a half sleeve, on my arm with the dragon. I am going to draw my own tattoos next time though.

Right now I have two, But i wouls love to get more. My husband also has two. we both have a matching dragon on our backs. And I have a Tazmanian devil on my shoulder with a halo over his head. I want one in the small of my back. Hopefully for my birthday!!! I love tattoos, they are like lays potato chips, you cant just have one!!! he he he he!!!

Now... are you sure it actually says "forgive"? Because a lot of non-Chinese/Japanese (whatever) speaking people will get Japanese or Chinese characters tattood on them thinking it means one thing, when it really means something else. We just think they LOOK cool. Funny story, my fiance's aunt is Japanese 100% born and raised in Japan. He had a shirt that had some Japanese symbols on them. She was over to visit one summer and he was wearing the shirt... and she just started laughing.. and laughing.. and he asked "WHAT" and she asked if he knew what his shirt said. He said "yeah, peace and love" or something like that. She said, oh no, no it does not say that at all... it said something else, something.. that could be offensive to some... lol.

Same thing for Japanese or Chinese people wearing tshirts with english words or phrases on them. They think they say one thing, when they really mean something else.... ever browse through the clothing section at http://engrish.com hehehehehe

I have 4 and love them all. They're all small. I'm not really into huge tattoos. I have Odie from the Garfield cartoon, a purple dolphin, a purple pegasus, and a silhouette of a Giant Schnauzer.

I love tattoos and don't see anything wrong with them if that's what you like. I myself have 10 and don't regret getting them at all. Naturally, as you get older they wither along with your skin, but that's something that you have to learn to live with. Tattoos are permanent and wrinkling is inevitable. I have one of my chihuahua, Killer (black/tan), who died on July 9, 1994 and it's very special to me. I sent his photo to my tattoo artist and he did a black/gray portrait of him on my forearm. I had this dog for 18 years of my life and what better way to remember him by than a portrait of my best friend. Two months after my dog died, I found a chocolate chihuahua, Choco, who has now been with me for 12 years and I have his name and my cat's paw prints tattooed in the form of a bracelet with hearts. I also have a tribal sun on my back with my husband's name. On my other forearm I have a dragon with butterfly wings and on my ankle I have a cute stick person and a stick dog underneath a stick sun, which I tell people is me and my dog walking under the sun. Granted, people are going to get the wrong impression when they see anyone with tattoos. That's just the way it is in our society, but they have to get passed that and get to know the person inside. I've covered my tats and let people get to know the real me and then I show them my tats...then they freak out! Tattoos aren't for everyone, but I see them as body art and not ugly at all. My next one is going to be a portrait of my Dad, who passed on December 16, 2000. He was the best guy ever. He taught me everything I know about farm work. I really miss that 'ol man a lot.

My whole family is into tattoos except my brother. I got 2, my dad I lost count he has 2 sleeves and like around 6 on his chest and some on his back, and my mom has 3 or 4 I think.

I believe harsh generalizations made about tattoos are ill coneived and find them to be wrong in the most part. I have seen many older folks who have tats and they are not "saggy" and gross looking (These being 60+ year old folks). It is each persons decision. I find it to be as "normal" as, say, picking out a dress. It doesn't matter if you, personally, find it unattractive as the person with it *does*, it means something to them, and that should be respected.

I don't see it and think "Oh wow, that's beautiful" I see it and think "Ewww I wonder if they thought about how it would look 50 years later, when they got it." It's not that I'm not respecting someone's decision to get a tattoo, it's just that I think they are ill looking at that point. Both of my grandfathers were in the navy & both have tattoos on their arms. They are faded and nasty looking now, and I just don't like the way they look. There's no way I'd want something on my body that will look like that in 40 + years

I totally agree! It might be expressive to you and a few others but the majority of society thinks it is a sign of being bad. Not trying to be offfensive but I am just saying it is true. The same with body piercings and stuff. Again not trying to be offensive but how do you expect to get decent job with a bunch of pircings and tattoes! People think that if you look like that you are bad and weird and you may not be but why would you want to make youself look like that? Sure we shouldn't judge people but still if God had intended us to get tattoes we would have been born with them. And with a bunch of stuff what are you going to do when you get older with a bunch of piercings? I mean get a henna tattoo if you must have one. Live with that for a while and see how it goes if you like it suit your self! Not trying to make anybody upset though. I understand it is a way to remember somebody but stil there are other ways to remember.
