I'm so glad you got to experience this first hand. It must be so peaceful
living in a slower paced enviorment.I'd love to see some stars sometimes
without all the clutter of street lights, etc. One question tho, what is the
purpose of this thing covering the horse's eyes?

It's called a fly mask. It keeps all the flys out of their eyes. They can be really bad. Don't worry though, they can see fine!

You would be amazed how wonderful it is here. They live off grid with all power from solar and wind. I really wish you all could experience this. (hey, come on down and rent the guest cottage!!)

Great Pictures! I'm so happy for you that you are able to experience being there.

Oh sorry. Didn't know that fly mask question was answered all ready.

I'm getting my mom and nieces and nephew out sometime for a wagon ride (you can do this when you rent the guest cottage ) and I'll get more pictures then. She's getting 100 chicks tomorrow...so that should be an experience! I'm excited about possibly riding Jethro. If it goes well, I'll seriously reconsider riding lessons.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. (I've never had a photo thread with so many replies )

I have to admit Lama's scare me to death. Pigs are definitely one of my favorite farm animals! I used to volunteer on a large farm. They had pigs, horses, chickens, donkeys, ponies and Lama's. I loved the pigs and the horse's so much.

Wonderful pictures! You are a very talented photographer and I hope you take more pictures so we can see more of these wonderful animals and your amazing abilities.

To be honest, the llama's scared me at first too, but I really love them now. Especially little Spirit. What a character he is!
