Whew, finally settling down at the computer after a shower (of clean water, not dog slobber ) What a wonderful pic nic- so many great people and dogs! Especially considering how HOT it was, all the doggies did very well together, sharing the cool spots & water buckets! Amy, you got WAY MORE than just a little sun, girl! Great picture of Keegan & the water, Kay, and Sherman looked so handsome in the green bandana you made.
JoJoe's downloading the pictures now, I'll put a link soon. Glad everyone's making it home ok!

    Thumbs up

We're home too (actually got home around 9).

Man did we have a great day! So many good friends and so many awesome dogs The weather was a little on the warm side so a couple of the guys went and bought a kiddie/doggie pool and the dogs had a great time cooling down...just wish they would have bought one for us humans

I've been busy getting everything in order here and looking at all the pictures everyone's posted so I haven't gotten mine uploaded yet, but I'll work on it and get them done asap!

Thanks again to EVERYONE who came.......

Marta, honey, Paul especially admired this picture of you - when he was a little boy, he really wanted a Corgi, and thinks you're just lovely!

We are sorry we weren't there in person, but seeing the pictures is second-best!

The National Dachshund race is coming up 9-24-06 at the Hancock fair grounds.this year we would like to add some new things for all breeds.
the first is meet the breed on the one side of the fair grounds you will have a lot of room to show and teach others about your breeds.
I'm looking for captains for each breed group.these captains will be in charge of planing events is and inviting those to come.I will have equipment out for you to play on.
a rescue a thon all rescues are invited to come and set up.hopefully we will be able to find these babies a new home.I will be willing to do home checks on the dogs.
for most of you the national dachshund race raises funds for places.
each year I try to find those in need to send them funds.
vendors are welcome to come and set up at a small fee.last year over 5ooo people attended and over 150 dogs were in not just the races but the events to.a film crew fromcalif. called weiner takes all came and put the day in a documentary that they are doing and also made dvd to sell with 8.00 of each one sold going to coast to coast dachshund rescue.

Now that I am a little more awake...Here's a few pictures fromthe album, for those that don't want to go through all 100+

    Dakota

I'm not sure if it was the shade of the Danes, but Cincy liked laying with them! When I got the camera out, Kane was licking her face, but I snapped, he was sniffing her butt

There is just something about Danes and huskies playing together! That is Griffin leading the pack.

I think Andy and Ralph were the heroes for getting the pool! Talk about a watering hole!

Wouldn't Indy fit in great at my house?!? What a sweet girl! Crayola smiles big for the picture too!

    Talking

We made it home close to midnight last night... too exhausted to turn on the computer and check in

It was so nice meeting you all, Ruby and Justin both had a great time as well. Ruby was/is POOPED, she slept through the 4 hour drive home... and she and Justin still haven't woken up since falling asleep the near instant we walked into the house last night.

I've enjoyed looking at all the photos posted, I'm going to look through the albums as soon as I finish writing this I'm working on uploading mine, I'll post a link ASAP.

Again, we had a great time yesterday! I'm glad to hear you guys made it home safe. We look forward to seeing you all again!
