I did take more of the pigs, I just didn't post them. To be honest, I really don't like pigs. I treat them with care, but I don't really like them. I don't WANT to like them...if you know what I mean.

WONDERFUL pictures!! I feel like I have been on a visit to the farm. The "Hen's House" gave me a smile, the terrific close-ups of the eyes, the scenery and of course, the kitties

Get to know the pigs ...they are supposed to be smarter than dogs.
Now for me it's the chickens which I would avoid.

Yes, I know they are smart. I still don't want to get attached to them.

I don't know what I'll do come the end of the month. I'll miss everyone. Coco might be pregnant again, and she said she wants to breed April to a breath taking Canadian stallion (he is BEAUTIFUL. I may see him again and try to take pictures of him) I would love to see their foal...It wouldn't be born till next year though.

Wow, amazing. The pictures are great. Thank you so much for posting
all the pictures of the farm's animals.I get to imagine my self there too.

I'm so glad you got to experience this first hand. It must be so peaceful
living in a slower paced enviorment.I'd love to see some stars sometimes
without all the clutter of street lights, etc. One question tho, what is the
purpose of this thing covering the horse's eyes?

Canon Rebel <3 it really is a fantastic spot. It's so different from the city where I'm use to.

Lizbud, It's a fly screen to keep the flies and dirt out of the horses eyes when they are turned out in the field. My friend uses them on her horses when the flies are bad, it's not good to get fly spray around the horses eyes. They can still see through the mesh, it's like the horse is wearing shades.
Here is a link to one if you want more details.

Slleipnir, I love the farm photos, especially the ones of the horses and kittens.
It looks like Prince Edward Island is a beautiful place.
Please share more photos and stories with us.
    RIP sweet Samantha

Thanks Vermontcat. In going back to look at these pictures again,
I noticed these cuties. Doesn't this picture just beg for a caption?

It's called a fly mask. It keeps all the flys out of their eyes. They can be really bad. Don't worry though, they can see fine!

You would be amazed how wonderful it is here. They live off grid with all power from solar and wind. I really wish you all could experience this. (hey, come on down and rent the guest cottage!!)
