I think that it is considered too many cats when you can't take care of them and your house starts stinking because your carpet is soaked with pee. This really happened. A wealthy lady kept on rescuing cats and she must have had over 200 of them. Someone broke her window so she called the police. When they got there the smell was so bad that they had to come back with masks. Her carpet was soaked with pee and feces. They also found some dead cats. The house was also infested with fleas. Now this is way too many cats. I only have three and people think that I have too many.
