Our animal shelter charges $120 for puppies and $90 for adults. They are all speutered and UTD on shots.

The rescue I got Jack from charges $115.

The dogs adopted from the Humane Society were all 160. Muskwa was 350 from his breeder. I didn't pay anything for the ones I've adopted from other mushers. At least not to adopt them, I've paid plenty for other things for them!

The cats were 120 from the Humane Society. Polly Paws' bail from the pound was 40 bucks.

We got a discount for Molli because we got her from a friend. I think we payed 75 dollars and they were selling the other puppies for 135. (she was an 'oops litter')
We payed 100 dollars for Sam. (breeder)

Tango was free, as she was from a really good friend of ours. The rest of the pups in her litter were around $50, all were given to other friends though.

Tia was free since she was born at our house.

    Winston was $75.00.

Morgan was $200, which is what a dog/puppy costs here from almost all breed rescues, shelters, etc.

My next dog (Toller) will be from a breeder and her initial price is $1500 (unless I decide to co-own, but even then she's going to be a lot).

Journey - 2yr old Australian Shepherd
    Ripley - 5 1/2yr old Doberman
Dance RN CGN FM - 7 1/2yr old Toller

We bought Marta for $650, the other three pets were adopted.

Adele's adoption fee was $150, Seine's $90, and Vallis' was $250. When I think about how much my pets mean to me, it's weird to think I "bought" them.

Sadie and Cincy were both free. Spot's adoption fee was $30, but I gave the shelter $40

    I know! It feels weird.

I hate it when people try to impress on me the ideals that I should act "more like a master". I am not my friends master but a companion in life.

I got Visa for free, will be getting her puppy for free, and my sheltie puppy for free. LOL.

My Groenendael pup will be free from an AWESOME breeder LOL.. wolfsoul. Pretty darn awesome since I'll be showing her, doing agility, obedience, flyball and possibly breeding her depending on how she turns out.
LOL. Feel special, I wouldn't give just anyone a puppy for free.

LOL. My breeder friends pretty much just give their friends dogs for free, but there is usually a catch --- I got Visa for free but have to give one litter back. I will get my sheltie pup for free but his breeder will use him for stud, or if it's a female she may decide to ask for a litter back (I'm hoping for a male though). No catch on my Belgian puppy though, he's all mine to do whatever I want with (as Visa will be after her first litter), though I will let Visa's breeder use him for stud for free.

Yep. My aunt is a Chihuahua breeder and she is who I am getting my Chi from. The catch is that I have to transport another pup to her sis/my grandma. It's all worth it, though.
