Awww, Star, how sad. First you're injured, then Momma takes away your prized dead birdie and NOW she's left you at the white coats - abandoned you, practically! You will certainly be in our prayers.

Poor Star! I hope it's nothing major. It could just be a hot spot. Earle had one a few weeks ago that he licked so much, it did get infected.
If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love, you must find the courage to live it.

Get well soon, Star!!!!![]()
Poor Star, I hope she gets feeling better!
Yous are in my thoughts today.
I hope it is nothing serious. {{{hugs}}}
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
Update: She's home, and she's okay. just got the wound cleaned & is getting antibiotics, although she'll have to wear the evil "collar" to keep her from licking it. We think what might have happened is this- Last week she & another dog at the park got into a little tiff - but none of us saw what happened. We heard growling/barking and spun around to see Star & another dog (a young male dog) on their back legs pawing & snapping at each other. Then Star fell down, and curled up & stayed on the ground for a minute, which we thought was odd. Nobody had any obvious injuries, and everybody went back to playing as usual. She must have had an infected puncture wound that abcessed while we were out of town. The vet said it looked like it had already been healing for 3-4 days. So no stitches (good news), and lots of rest and water & antibiotics, and she'll be ready for action by the PT pic-nic.
Thanks for all your speedy healing vibes!
