When I started to read the thread I tried to concentrate on the thought that today (differently from 20 years ago) 6 weeks must be manageable- and now I see that you are already a great auntie and your niece and the baby are ok![]()
I'm so happy to hear that.

All of the congratulatory phone calls have been made........our family is quite wide spread - the Grandma is in Florida - the Grandpa is in Brazil - and the brand new parents live in Northern California.
It has been stressed that the first 24 hours are critical not only for Mom, but the baby too.
On a funny side note - the brand new Daddy is an attorney - his specialty is medical malpractice. I am sure the hospital knows that.
The other good news is that the new Mommy is a psychologist - and she works at the hospital facility where her son has been born. So everyone knows her and everyone will be inquiring after her.
Again, thanks for your prayers - I KNEW I should share this on Pet Talk!!
I am very grateful!♥♥♥♥
Congratulations to your whole family on the healthy baby boy!!
Glad to hear the baby is doing well. And to be born on Mother's Day - that must be so special. Congratulations.
I love Fenway, JoJo, Olivia and Nonnie!
Congratulations!![]()

This is just another prime example of Pet Talk prayers in action.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.
WOO HOO!
Congratulations!
SO glad all is well.

No news this morning - so that is good news!! I didn't sleep too well last night and every time I woke up I was thinking about Bev and her baby.
This beautiful young girl was 29 years old - a size 5 - a vegetarian - and ran 5 miles a day - and bammo - a full blown type one diabetic - at the age of 29. She has done such an incredible job managing this horrific disease. I have heard such horror stories about diabetic women having children. My neighbor that many Pet Talker's have met - is a diabetic. She has a daughter and carried her second child full term - but they "did something wrong" at the hospital - and her second child died. I believe it happened when they were administering the glucose to the baby. She has never gotten over that loss. However, she has a third child - a son.
So this may give you some groundwork to realize why I was so worried.
Karen - I'm not sure - but the baby will be a cousin - once removed? I never have figured that stuff out.
Rachel - I forgot my nephew's birthday this year and I too was mortified - ain't getting old grand?
Again, thank you for your prayers - I want to be sure to tell my niece that she had prayers coming in from all over the world - just for her and the baby.
Gini, congratulations on the new arrival in your family!Sending positive thoughts to your nice and hope you get more good news throughout the day.
