I know marrow bones are hard on the tummy the first few times but I don't think the side effects come that quickly!!

Good luck at the white coats, Nova! I hope it's nothing serious.

If it smells really horrible, I'd be worrited about parvo. I hope everything is alright, let us know what the vet says.

Thanks so much everyone for keeping her in your thoughts!

On the way there she vomited in the car. We decided to have blood drawn to check for pancreatitis and any other problem. The vet was in surgery and we had to wait to see her and get the results. While we were waiting Nova got that look on her face like she had to vomit again, and when she did, out came a sock! She had a blockage!

Bloodwork is normal and other than an upset tummy she's doing fine now. She can eat and drink again in the morning. She's no longer going to be free when we leave the house. Not sure how long it will be before we'll be able to trust her out again. She'd eat a brick if we buttered it for goodness sakes!

We believe the marrow bone actually triggered an upset stomach because it could not pass and is so rich (she ate her meal just fine and kept it down, but vomited it up later tonight after she got the bone). If we hadn't given her that there's a good chance she would have continued trying to digest the sock tonight and it may have required surgery.

Anyway, she's doing good. She's just a Lab who eats everything.

That's so weird, I started typing out "She may have a blockage" in my first post but didn't want to scare you too much (incase she couldn't unblock it on her own!) as that's what it sounded like to me.

So glad she's okay now.. silly girl stay out of the laundry!
