Signatures, Anyone?

Maybe it's just me, but your signature is showing to be close to 29K.

I personally don't care if it's over, just stating that yours is too large, too.

According to my computer, it is only 1KB over the limit - 26KB

Either way, the signatures she's creating is over twice the limit, if not more than that. All of them are over 70KB.

Well, they don't take too long to load, and it's only because they're PNG. If I resize them the quality goes down to like nothing.

What do you use to save them?

Adobe has a special setting to "Save to web.." and it shows you how many KB you are saving them to. You can reduce them without messing up the quality too much. You can easily save a nice quality signature and still be under the limit.

They did take a bit to load for me and I'm on a cable modem, but seeing as computers are different, they probably load faster/slower for some.

I just use Save as. Thanks for the link, I'll start saving them like that now.

Ah, I was just saying. Yours shows as 28.639KB.

And I agree, hers are over 70KB.

And like I said, I don't personally care if yours is over. But, in my opinion, you can't pick and choose what's "right" based on how wrong something is. Sure, yours is just a little over, but that's not following the rules anymore than she is. Ah, but oh well.. I don't care.

Hey girl,, about this size limit thing.. maybe you could try saving them a .jpg instead of a .png file?

file formats alone can effect the file size... for example if you save something as .jpg and then save it as a .bmp... the .bmp file is HUGE compaired to the .jpg file.. i dont see any difference in quialty inbtween a .jpg and a .bmp but it sure does effect the file size.
i do know that resizing pictures/siggy effects the quailty though.
