    i'll bet your dad's health will greatly improve with the love and training of that precious boy. you wrote a lovely, touching thread, so gentle and unselfish.
    i love his name! my john and i are giggling. his middle name is Kirk and his family tradition was to use middle names. so his family and long time friends call him Kirk- so do I when i'm po'd at him!

    OMG i am crying happy tears for you here Kate, what a wonderful suprise . Kirk is just too cute, love his little "love heart" and the his little patched ear. Eeeeeiiiii this is so exciting, i am so happy for you and your family, it sounds as though your Dad will really benefit from having a dog around again.

    OMG! What a precious little boy! He has a heart on his forehead too, that's so sweet =) I know you have wanted another BC for so long, I'm SO happy you will be getting one... and of course providing all of us with lots of adorable pics as he grows up!

    Good Name for puppy even tho you are getting used to Kirk.
    A lady I know named her dog Heart b/c of the heart on her chest.
