I think there are many worse things that could happen to this country than having Jeb Bush in the White House. He is a reasonable, sensible Governor in the state of Florida.

There are many far better things that could happen to this country too. Far, Far, Far, Far better.

    Donna,

I don't know what to think anymore??? I never, never, never in my wildest dreams could have imagined that Americans would re-elect GW. We were duped once and I thought we had learned our lesson. I campaigned for Kerry - thought he would have made a much better President than a second term GW. Truly believe that a new face and a fresh perspective on the war would have allowed others to play a role in rebuilding Iraq and stabilizing the region. I think others would have joined in too... if they knew they didn't have to deal with Bush anymore.

Sadly, I was shocked at just how many people still are fond of our President and must truly trust him. Or are voting their party line out of spite. Either way, the damage he has done to the world, our economy and our respected image will take decades to recover from. But HEY... let's give another Bush a chance. Ah Shucks... they seem like good ol' boys who don't "really" mean any harm!

To all our lady friends on PT: I am sad to say that I don't really think that Hillary can win the Presidency. I just don't think that America is ready yet for a woman President - and unfortunately, she carries the baggage of her husbands embarrassing escapades as President. IMO, we are still too sexist of a nation to honestly look at her credentials and ideas and make a sound considered decision.

    Bob's Human,

Didn't vote for him the first OR second time. I'm pleased that Jeb (Cataholic, how about someone named "Bubba"??) has said he won't run. I supposed it's a relief. In the meantime, and unfortunately we're still stuck with George Dubya for the remainder of his term .

Hopefully by the time his term is up, SOMEONE, ANYONE would be willing to run this country the way it SHOULD be run. The right way!!

I would definately vote for any pet here on PT before I'd vote for a Bush. Heck, I'd vote for almost anyone over a Bush- I'm pretty sure my 5 year old nephew has a higher IQ then the whole Bush family combined.
Hey, that's rough on the Bushes... AND you are "UNDER-stating your nephew's IQ potential"

Hillary isn't the one carring the baggage. Her husband is.
Yeah, but unfortunately some people just link the two together. Don't get me wrong... I actually liked the job Bill did as a President. It is just sad that his footnote in history will be one of weak character!

Not to be contentious at all... but just "what exactly" has Hillary done in NY that has you so scared that you are heading for the hills???

I thought she handled his affair with class. I would have drop kicked his beHIND to the curb so fast his teeth would have fallen out!!!

A woman couldn't possible mess the country up any worse then the men have done!!! Mothers would think longer about starting a war. Of course, if she decided one was needed; WATCH OUT!
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

As to mothers thinking longer than a father before starting a war:

There are NUMEROUS historical precedents that prove that isn't true. Butchery knows no gender.
