Well, like the majority of you, I was shocked! I thought for sure it would be Kat leaving last night since her performance Tuesday night was weak. After getting over the shock though, I must say, I'm glad Chris is gone. He was always sounding the same to me also. I wanted more variety and style from him and he just didn't produce.

Of the final three, I like them all so I'll just have to wait and see how they perform!

True, now that the initial shock has worn off, I have to agree that Chris, while a very good rock singer, was very one dimentional. He could sing the heck out of a rock song, but anything else seemed to lack that "it" factor. The second song he did was so boring and monotone. I still think based on Tuesday's performances that Kat should have gone, but neither Chris nor Kat should be the winner.

    WAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
When I woke up this morning I was praying last night was all a bad dream....
Oh My Freak!!! What is with America?? They picked Elliott over CHRIS??!?!?!
    Hellloooooo!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
I'm sure America votes for the underdog just because they feel bad for them and think "Oh those other people can get recording contracts on their own" Well the truth is yes they can, but if they don't win Idol, then they have to put up all the money for it!!! The winner gets a recording contract for FREE!!!
Oh Poor Chris I love his voice!!
I hope to be running out to the store soon and buying his album!
    Alright.... anyway...
    GO TAYLOR!!!!!!!!!

I know Elliot has had some weak performances over the entire competition usually because of nerves, but his performances on Tuesday were much better than Chris's were. He truly did deserve to have more votes than Chris and Kat. I did think that Chris was better than Kat though (even though I like her more than him).

I personally think America was on the right track (based on performances alone and not personalities).

Add another shocked person to the board

Although Kat is one of my favorites, so was Chris and I'm sad to see him go. But I do know it's only a matter of time before he gets a record deal. I'll be one buying it when it comes out

If the people want someone with versatility, I think Kat should be the winner hands down. She may need some voice coaching but out of the three she can do a little of everything. Go Kat!

As you know, we're a bit delayed here in Argentina so I'm watching the episode where Paris is kicked off right now (I didn't like her too much, anyways)

I've just read on this thread that Chris left the show, and I can't believe it! He was my favourite...

I'm finding it really hard to choose my favourites right now, 'cause they are all so talented! But I think I'd really like to see Kat winning, she's my idol...

I just watche the show "Extra" and the band Fuel asked Chris to be their lead singer on national television!! And I'm sure they've contacted him before, too!! I hope he says yes!!!! I'll try to find a link that says so...

    Edit:

"Twenty-eight million jaws dropped to the floor Wednesday night as Chris Daughtry got voted off “American Idol.” But don’t think this rocker is down and out.

Only “Extra” broke big news about Chris that’s making headlines from Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to stations across the country.

“You have an offer to be the lead singer of a major band,” Ryan revealed to Chris Thursday morning on his hit radio show. “Theyre going to be on ‘Extra’ tonight, and they’re going to submit the formal offer for you.”

Thursday, Fuel bass player Jeff Abercrombie and songwriter/guitarist Carl Bell came straight to “Extra” with the offer of a lifetime -- they want Chris.

"Chris, if you are watching, we've talked about this before, and if you want to entertain it again we'll take it and go," Abercrombie offered.

Chris’ rendition of Fuel’s “Hemorrhage” was his first groundbreaking “Idol” performance. The band, which has been searching for a lead singer, saw Chris’ performance and they want him in the band.

Well Chris, it’s up to you, but first “Extra” has another “Idol” exclusive. Our Terri Seymour was with Ryan and Randy for LA’s FOX 11 just moments after Chris’ shocking send off.

"Obviously, it wasn't based on singing tonight because the wrong person went home," Randy admitted. "Catherine probably should have gone home tonight."

It’s down to the final three, and Simon came to “Extra” telling us now there are no favorites. “The funny thing about this show is when someone goes, you never know where their votes are going to go,” Simon confessed. “I genuinely don't know who is going to win.” "
