The Mapping Sites don't openly suggest or show "suggested speeds" -
those averages are from me dividing the total miles by their estimated times -
gives overall average miles per hour.

The Mappers DO try to calculate the time based upon their understanding of the
allowed speed limit on each small section of the route - dunno how they factor in
things like traffic lights or Stop signs.

For sure MapQuest does NOT figure in any gas or potty stops!

just got back from the dogpark - there's a couple of local pups that want to attend the picnic too. Please add "Baby" and "Max", both are golden retrievers, their mom is Amy (I think some of you met them last year at one of the picnics)
