I'm really sorry that I didn't manage to get any pictures on last night myself. It was not my intention to send everyone to bed without pics.I know what it's like when you are eagerly awaiting updates!
The day before Sara arrived, Samantha took it upon herself to make sure that everything was up to scratch.

I think auntie Sara will be comfortable enough

Really mum, I think you're making too much of this. I'm helping!

All done. What's the next task?

I picked Sara up from the airport on Friday morning. It was a lovely sunny day, so we took a run up to the distillery that I posted about before, where Towser used to live. Glenturret
When they were "interviewing" for a distillery cat, they could not decide between Dylan and Brooke, so they took both. The last time I was at the distillery (with Vio), we saw Dylan.

On Friday we met Brooke.

It would seem that Brooke does not like to look directly at the camera. We didn't see Dylan this time. I think they work shifts.
On the way back home we visited Stirling Castle which is built on a rock and dominates the surrounding landscape, but I don't have a good picture of it. Perhaps Sara took one. This was the only one I took and it was more aimed at the flowers than the building.

Saturday was also a beautiful day so we drove up the side of Loch Lomond and over to Inverary, where there is a garden to visit. The garden is old, but was only restored and opened to the public four years ago. It is not a formal garden, it is intended to look like a highland glen (valley).

Gunnera is a plant with giant leaves that thrives in damp shady conditions. It has a most unusual flower.

This garden had the biggest cala lilies I have ever seen

Sunday was a horrible day, so we headed for Edinburgh hoping the weather might be better over there. It wasn't. We visited the decommissioned Royal Yacht, which is berthed at Leith, Edinburgh's port.

It really wasn't a nice day!

Just before we took this picture, a couple walked passed us eating ice creams! We didn't indulge.
Monday was a beautiful day again, but rather than any more sightseeing, we decided to go shopping! We had a very successful day in Glasgow. If only I had thought to take pictures of our purchases, I could have posted them!![]()
