I got these photos of two lovely Kookaburra's on Saturday evening at a function i was at, they were so used to people and were happy to hang out and "party" with everyone.

Rhi, thanks for posting the Kookaburras also. Great pics and it makes me think of a song we use to sing when I was little. Somthing like "Kookaburra sits in the ol' Gum Tree". I don't know..lol..maybe I'm making that up..lol. It just popped in my head.

Rhi, I went to Port Stephens awhile ago, and there were Kookaburra's there exactly the same - relatively tame ...... but still to be avoiding (that beak is painful!!!)
