I LOVE Garrison Keillor! Thanks for sharing![]()
Doing my part to save BBD's, one dog at a time!
I do love Garrison Keillor, my mom is deceased, but writing a Sonnet for a professional writer, English major, teacher would not have been advisable! I'd probably have gotten it back with corrections to my iambic pentameter!
hehehe
I don't think its much of a greeting card holiday, I mean if we honor that idiot/jerk of a Christopher Columbus then we have to have a day for our mothers. I already got her a carved nicknack of a robin, I'll have to make her a sonnet too.
"There are two things which cannot be attacked in front: ignorance and narrow-mindedness. They can only be shaken by the simple development of the contrary qualities. They will not bear discussion."

I was planning to pick out a nice vase for my mom at my school's ceramics sale and then get some "cheap" flowers to fill it with, and take her bowling or mini golfing.
I'd love to do more for her, but right now I have no job, I'm taking six classes in college, and I'm worn to the bone. Now I feel like I'm being lazy or cheap. *sigh* I've never been much of a writer, but perhaps a handmade card with a note reminding her how grateful I am that she's financing my college career would do? I don't know...![]()
Thank you Wolf_Q!
