your mention of poems reminded me that my dad is a published poet lol he has a poem in the finals of a poetry compition, the grand prize being 10 grand USD

Why a poem?
Why the need to rhyme?
Why this need to share a thought
to share ones heart
to open ones soul?
To be or not be
the questions have been asked
But answers they are few
and truth is usually last
So why a poem?
To seek the truth
And why a rhyme?
To find the rhythm of the heart
To open the heart
lay bare the soul
To find ones self
