PICS vacation in Virginia & DC

Over spring break a couple of weeks ago I went to Virginia with my family. We took a day trip to DC, although I wish we could have stayed longer.
Before we left, my cutie:


First we went to Endless Caverns. This was the beautiful entry way to the caverns. Just to the left of this photo we went into a room.

it was actually quite plesent down there, a cool and constant 55 F and a bit dark

if it hits you on the head it’s called a “cave kiss.” My mom thought the guide said “cave piss”

there were bats all over. The guide said flashes don’t bother them.

And then the next day we went to a water park/arcade and trail rides.

My cousin who had never ridden before got the 5 year old paint who needed a crop

Then we went to the first battlefield at Manassas.

It was the first battle of the Civil War. People thought this would be the only battle and that the war would be over soon, so they picnicked on the edge of the field for the day’s outing!



they had markers and descriptions of what happened when and where as you walked the trail.

My grandma told me to take a picture of the “exceptionally beautiful tree” it reminded her of when she lived in Japan, I think.
