I also saw these but they also have a filter. But I'm sure they will have a wider selection than what they have featured on the website. I also wanted to add that I have $40 to spend so anything around $35 or under is what I can afford.

Well actually they usually have a bigger selection online than they do in-store. At least that's how it was when I worked at PetCo
I actually really like that tank minus the filter, I almost bought it. It's really cute and I think it comes in 2.5 gallon sizes.

I'd go with the minibow, it's a great aquarium. Just because it comes with a filter doesn't mean that you have to use it. Just don't put the filter in when your setting it up and it will be an excellent tank for a betta.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!
Thats the tank I have for my Betta and he seems to really enjoy it. That filter did bother him and I took it out (you can see my recently posted thread about it).
The tank is roomy for a Betta and Moon seems to really enjoy it.

Yep, for $7 more I'd go for the 2.5 Minibow! I have 3 and all of the Bettas in them love em muchly. ^^
For the Whisper filters, you can fashion a "current killer" to it by simply cutting off the flat middle portion of a plastic soda bottle. Just fix the plastic around the lip of the filter, where the water pours out, and it'll almost completely kill the current.
Thank you for all your helpAnother question: Since bettas prefer soft/live plants to artifical plants, can I cut some of the real plants that are in my 60 gallon aquarium?
