I answered for Happy, she is almost never leashed, no need I can control her ten times better with just my voice then I can with any leash, Misty is fine walked off leash in some areas, for example I dont leash her on the bike path or back allys, I only leash her on the streets. the other 3 are kept leashed exept when in parks.

Well, I don't have a dog, but when I take my neighbour's dog, Bonnie, for walks, I always keep her on a leash. I would like to let her loose in a park, and she probably wouldn't do anything bad, but I'd be scared of losing her. If she was my dog, then I would, it's just that she's not as used to me as she is to her owners, and if she began to wander off she might not come back to me. I think it's great to see dogs having fun off leash in the park though![]()
I always take them for walks with leashes on! Especially since I live in the city, there is NO WAY I'd even think about walking them leashless, waaay too many dangers for me to feel comfortable!

Yes, because it's the law and my dogs are untrustworthy off leash except for Tango. I'd rather not have to pay $250 for not leashing my dog. Tango is SO much better off leash. She listens to my every command and focuses on me and nothing else, on leash is a whole other story. She's perfect 'til she sees/hears another dog and there are a lot of dogs around here...
So she'd listen to you if she was off leash when she sees another dog and wouldn't when she's on leash?Originally Posted by Orangutango
I saw the exact same thing on a TV program on public television on dog behaviour. Sometimes leashes can be dangerous.Originally Posted by Orangutango
